Buying a used 4WD or ute? Make sure you know exactly what you’re getting before handing over your money. At Frostline Mechanical & Auto, we carry out a detailed pre-purchase inspection to help identify faults, wear, safety concerns, leaks, previous neglect, and potential costly repairs.

This inspection is suited for 4WDs, dual cabs, utes, work vehicles, and larger SUVs. We check over the vehicle’s key mechanical and safety items, including the engine bay, fluids, brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, underbody condition, driveline components, warning lights, basic electrical operation, and visible leaks or damage.

Where possible, the inspection includes a road test and vehicle scan to check for stored fault codes. You’ll receive a clear written report outlining any issues found, maintenance items, safety concerns, and our honest mechanic’s opinion on whether the vehicle is worth purchasing.
